Due to the finite supply of film and of fuel for counteracting atmospheric drag, the mission duration is limited to about 45 days. The satellite is recovered at the end of each mission and much of the hardware is reused. The military nature of the mission means that information on some aspects of the operation of the satellite are not available. Future acquisitions can be requested but there is a large selection of archived images available at short notice. |
